Terms of Service

Lovebound is operated by Big Develop Tech & Media, LLC (“Lovebound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Big Develop Tech & Media, LLC for the Lovebound mobile app, the website at www.loveboundapp.com and related services (together, the “Service”).

You accept these Terms by checking the box that says you agree to them. We show that box, unchecked, before you create an account in the app and before your first question in the web getting-to-know-you conversation, and we record which version you accepted and when. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how we handle your information.

Lovebound offers faith-grounded relationship education and encouragement for Christian married couples who want to grow closer within a covenant marriage. Eden, our AI relationship guide, offers personal, private encouragement grounded in Scripture and widely published ideas about relationships. The Service includes:

• A private getting-to-know-you conversation with Eden for each spouse, in the app or on the web
• A Couple Profile and a Growth Plan with goals, phases, a practice rhythm and a 12-week outline, which you can refresh with Eden every four weekly talks
• Weekly talks with Eden, on your own or together, each ending with a recap and this week's practice
• A brief daily pulse check-in (connection, desire, stress and an optional note)
• Covenant Rhythm: a private Desire Map for each spouse, a shared weekly rhythm, and this week's idea
• A 52-week Covenant Roadmap with daily rituals and weekly exercises
• Conversations with Eden, on your own or together with your spouse
• Guided conversations together and shared exercises
• A Safety Veto for removing any activity from the shared roadmap
• Spouse invitations, with a web getting-to-know-you conversation for the invited spouse
• Safety screening and crisis resources (see Safety)
• In-app content reporting, data export and account deletion

The Service is currently offered for iOS, in the United States only. We may change, add or remove features as the Service develops.

Lovebound offers faith-grounded relationship education and encouragement. It is not therapy, counseling or medical care, and it is not a substitute for any of them.

• Eden is an artificial-intelligence system. Eden is not a person and is not a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, physician, pastor or other licensed professional. Eden's responses, and everything Eden writes for you, are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate or wrong for your situation. Lovebound is not affiliated with or endorsed by any author, institute or program whose ideas it may reference.
• The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any mental health, medical or sexual health condition, and nothing in it is medical, psychological or other professional advice.
• No professional relationship. Using Lovebound does not create a therapist–client, counselor–client, physician–patient, clergy–congregant or any other professional or fiduciary relationship between you and Lovebound, Eden or anyone else. Your conversations with Eden are not protected by any therapist–patient, physician–patient or clergy privilege and may be disclosed when the law requires it (see Section 5 of the Privacy Policy). If you need therapy, counseling, medical care or legal advice, please contact a licensed professional.
• The Service is designed for couples in relationships without abuse who want to grow together. It is not appropriate for situations involving abuse, coercion or safety concerns.
• The Service is not an emergency service. No one monitors your conversations in real time. Our automated safety check is a safety net, not a substitute for emergency help, and it can miss things.
• If you are in crisis, in the United States call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line), call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788, call RAINN at 1-800-656-4673, or call 911 if you are in immediate danger. Our Safety page explains how the Service responds to signs of a crisis, abuse or coercion.

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be married, and use Lovebound with your spouse
• Live in the United States
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must tell us promptly about any unauthorized use of your account.
• Each spouse has their own email address and password. An invited spouse who registers on the web may be shown a one-time sign-in link for the app; it can be used once and expires within minutes.
• Each person may have only one account. Couple accounts are linked through spouse invitations.

• By inviting your spouse to join Lovebound, you confirm that you have their consent to send them an invitation. Invitation links are sent by you from your own device; we do not send messages to your spouse.
• The following are private to each spouse and are never shown to the other: your getting-to-know-you answers, your Desire Map, your daily pulse, your own conversations with Eden (unless you invite your spouse into one and choose to share its history), the weekly talks you have on your own with their recaps and practice, and Eden's reflections about you individually.
• The following are visible to both spouses by design: the picture of you as a couple in your Couple Profile, the Growth Plan, the Covenant Rhythm and this week's idea, whether each spouse has checked in today or filled in a Desire Map, weekly talks you have together with their recaps and practice, the shared roadmap, and any conversations, guided conversations or shared exercises you do together. The Privacy Policy has the full list.
• Either spouse may use a Safety Veto at any time to remove activities from the shared roadmap without explanation. The other spouse is not told who used it.
• Either spouse may delete their own account at any time, independently of the other, from the app's Settings (see Section 16). Neither spouse can delete, suspend or remove access to the other spouse's account.

• Everything here is an invitation. Either of you can say "not tonight" or pause at any time, no reason needed.
• Covenant Rhythm and Eden's intimacy ideas are intended for married couples. They are designed to be tasteful and non-graphic, and they are grounded in Scripture's picture of marital intimacy as mutual generosity and mutual delight.
• Participation is voluntary at every step. Nothing Eden suggests is required. Either spouse may decline, pause or stop any suggested practice, rhythm or idea at any time, without explanation, may pause Covenant Rhythm or withdraw their Desire Map, and may ask Eden for a different idea.
• Eden is built to respect the boundaries you record in your Desire Map, but AI can make mistakes. If a suggestion crosses a line, skip it and report it in the app. You can update or withdraw your Desire Map at any time, and deleting your account removes it.
• The Service, and Scripture, may never be used to pressure, guilt or coerce a spouse into any activity. Doing so violates these Terms (see Section 9).
• Your health and safety. Eden's intimacy guidance is general relationship education, not medical or sexual-health advice. Pain, erection or arousal difficulties, hormone or medication changes, and pregnancy, postpartum or menopause changes are medical questions. Please talk with a doctor. Stop any activity that causes pain, discomfort or distress. Talk to a physician before trying a suggested practice if you are pregnant or postpartum, recovering from surgery or illness, have a medical condition, or take medication that affects sexual function, and for any pain, bleeding or other symptoms.
• Assumption of risk. You decide whether to try any suggestion, and you are responsible for doing so safely and only with your spouse's freely given consent. To the extent the law allows, you accept the risks of any activity you choose to try.

• Lovebound is free during launch. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases or payment obligations in the current version of the Service.
• Free access includes both spouses, the getting-to-know-you conversation, the Couple Profile and Growth Plan, weekly talks, the daily pulse, Covenant Rhythm, conversations with Eden, the Covenant Roadmap, daily rituals and weekly exercises.
• We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. If we do, we will give clear advance notice, and no charges will ever be applied without your explicit consent and affirmative action.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or personal data, including your spouse's
• Use an invitation link or sign-in link that was not issued to you
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, monitor, control or harm another person
• Transmit viruses, malware or other harmful code through the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Misrepresent your identity, age or marital status
• Use the Service, or Scripture, in any way that pressures, coerces or manipulates a spouse, including in matters of intimacy

• You can report harmful AI output, harassment, a safety concern or any other problem from the Report option in the app. Reports are confidential and are never shown to your spouse.
• We review reports and may take action, including correcting Eden's behavior, removing content, or suspending or terminating accounts that violate these Terms.
• Reporting does not replace emergency services. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

• Eden's responses, your Couple Profile, your Growth Plan, your recaps and practice, your Covenant Rhythm and weekly ideas, and your roadmap are generated by artificial intelligence based on what you and your spouse share. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your situation, and they are not professional advice.
• Eden can misquote or misapply Scripture. Please check any passage against your own Bible and your church's teaching.
• You are responsible for the decisions you make. Use your own judgment, and do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
• Either spouse may decline or veto any suggested activity at any time.

• All content, features and functionality of the Service, including text, graphics, logos, exercise designs, and AI prompts and models, are owned by Big Develop Tech & Media, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
• You keep ownership of the content you create in the Service (messages, exercise responses, getting-to-know-you answers, Desire Map answers and pulse notes).
• You give us a limited license to process your content only to provide the Service, including processing by our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Your content is never sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
• WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RELATIONSHIP OUTCOME

We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service. Relationship outcomes depend on many factors beyond the scope of the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIG DEVELOP TECH & MEDIA, LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). THESE LIMITS APPLY TO CLAIMS ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT, FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON IT, AND FROM THE CONDUCT OF ANY OTHER USER, INCLUDING YOUR SPOUSE.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN THAT CASE OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Big Develop Tech & Media, LLC and its members, managers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

• You may delete your account at any time from the app: Settings → Delete Account. You may export a copy of your data first from Settings → Export My Data.
• Deletion is per spouse. It permanently removes your sign-in credentials, your getting-to-know-you answers, your own conversations with Eden, the weekly talks you had on your own with their recaps and practice, your daily pulse check-ins, your Desire Map, Eden's reflections about you individually, your vetoes and reflections, your content reports, your consent records, your push tokens and notification preferences, and any pending sign-in codes or invite links, immediately from our live systems and from backups within 30 days.
• Deleting your account does not delete your spouse's account or their private data. Your spouse keeps a working login. The messages you sent in conversations you had together, and the shared results Eden wrote partly from your answers (the picture of you as a couple in your Couple Profile, the Growth Plan, the Covenant Rhythm and the roadmap), remain available to your spouse. You can ask us to delete those too; see Section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
• If you are the only registered spouse, or your spouse has already deleted their account, the entire couple record and all shared data are deleted.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

• Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration or a court case, send a written notice describing the dispute to info@bigdevelop.com. We will try to resolve it with you within 60 days.
• Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, by video or in the county where you live. We will pay the fees the Consumer Arbitration Rules assign to businesses.
• Small claims. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
• Opt-out. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing info@bigdevelop.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms.
• Individual claims only. You and we agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis and waive any right to a class action or class-wide arbitration. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, this Section 17 does not apply to that claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any protection you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect and ask you to review and accept the updated Terms in the app. Changes to Section 17 do not apply to any dispute you told us about before the change.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
