Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Lovebound mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Lovebound is operated by Lovebound Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lovebound Inc.

Lovebound is an AI-guided relationship guidance platform designed for couples seeking to deepen their intimate connection within the framework of Christian covenant marriage. The Service includes:

• AI-guided intake assessments
• Personalized relationship assessments and evidence-based profiles
• A 52-week Covenant Roadmap with daily rituals and weekly exercises
• AI-powered conversations with Eden, our AI relationship guide
• Safety veto systems for managing comfort boundaries
• Partner invitation and remote onboarding

Lovebound is an evidence-based AI tool and is not a substitute for licensed professional counseling or medical advice.

• Eden, our AI relationship guide, is built on peer-reviewed relationship science frameworks (Dual Control Model, Gottman Method, attachment theory, Nonviolent Communication) but is not a licensed professional.
• The Service does not provide diagnoses, prescriptions, or treatment for mental health disorders.
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, domestic violence, or abuse, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services immediately.
• The Service is designed for couples in non-abusive relationships seeking to grow together. It is not appropriate for situations involving active abuse, coercion, or safety concerns.

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Each individual may maintain only one account. Couple accounts are linked through the partner invitation system.

• By inviting a partner to join Lovebound, you confirm that you have their consent to send them an invitation.
• Each partner's individual intake responses are kept private and are never shown to the other partner. Only combined assessment insights are shared between partners.
• Either partner may exercise a Safety Veto at any time to remove activities from the shared roadmap without explanation.
• Either partner may revoke access and delete their account independently.

• Lovebound is currently offered free of charge. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or payment obligations in the current version of the Service.
• Free access includes both partners, the 52-week Covenant Roadmap, Eden conversations, daily rituals, and weekly exercises.
• We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. If we do, we will provide clear advance notice, and no charges will ever be applied without your explicit consent and affirmative action.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or personal data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Misrepresent your identity or relationship status
• Use the Service in any way that could coerce or manipulate a partner

• All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, relationship science frameworks, exercise designs, and AI models — are owned by Lovebound Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (messages, exercise responses, intake answers).
• You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service, including processing by our third-party AI service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Your content is never sold or used for advertising.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
• WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RELATIONSHIP OUTCOME

We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service. Relationship outcomes depend on many factors beyond the scope of our platform.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOVEBOUND INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lovebound Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

• You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
• Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently destroyed within 30 days, including conversations, intake responses, and assessments.
• Account termination by one partner does not automatically terminate the other partner's account, but shared features will be affected.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in the State of Delaware, USA.

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app and on our website, and by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
