Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026
About this policy
Lovebound is operated by Big Develop Tech & Media, LLC (“Lovebound,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use and share consumer health data, as defined by Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and Nevada's consumer health data law, and how you can use your rights. It applies to everyone who uses Lovebound in the United States. Our Privacy Policy covers everything else.
1. Consumer health data we collect
- Emotional wellbeing: mood, stress, emotional hurt and how you tend to move toward or away from closeness, as you describe them in your getting-to-know-you conversation, daily pulse, weekly talks and conversations with Eden.
- Sexual life and intimacy: your desire patterns, hopes, preferences and boundaries for intimacy (your getting-to-know-you conversation, your Desire Map and your daily pulse desire rating), and the Covenant Rhythm and weekly ideas written for you.
- Religious beliefs: how faith shapes your marriage. This is not health data under every law, but we protect it the same way.
- Safety information: whether you have experienced coercion or violence or feel unsafe, and whether our automated safety check flagged something you wrote.
- Relationship and wellbeing support: your Growth Plan, your practices and whether you completed them, weekly talk recaps, exercise reflections and Safety Veto records.
- Inferences: what Eden derives from the above, such as the patterns you share as a couple and Eden's reflections about you individually in your Couple Profile.
- Information that could show you are seeking relationship or emotional support: your account details, the fact that you use Lovebound, your device push token, and your IP address in short-lived server logs.
2. Why we collect and use it
- To provide the service you ask for: run your getting-to-know-you conversation, write your Couple Profile, Growth Plan, recaps and Covenant Rhythm, run weekly talks and exercises, and show you your own pulse trend.
- To keep people safe: check what you write for signs of a crisis, abuse or coercion, show help, and pause shared intimacy features when needed (see Safety).
- To secure Lovebound, prevent abuse, and respond when you contact us.
We do not sell consumer health data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
3. Where it comes from
- You: what you write, rate and choose in the app or on the web.
- Your spouse: what they write in conversations you share, and the shared results created from both of you.
- Eden: inferences generated with our AI provider from what you and your spouse share.
- Your device: your push token and app version.
5. Your consent
We ask for your consent before we collect consumer health data. When you create your account in the app, and on the web before your first question, you check separate boxes to confirm that you are 18 or older, to accept our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and this policy, to consent to our collecting and using your sexual-life, religious and emotional-wellbeing information to provide Lovebound and to your spouse seeing what Eden writes for the two of you from both of your answers (never your answers word for word), and to allow what you write to be sent to OpenAI, our AI provider. We record which version you agreed to and when.
If we ever want to collect, use or share consumer health data in a way this policy does not describe, we will ask for your consent first.
6. Your rights and how to use them
- Confirm and access. Ask whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it together with a list of every third party and affiliate we shared it with and a way to contact them. You can download much of it yourself in the app (Settings → Export My Data); email us for everything.
- Delete. Delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or ask us by email. We delete your data from our live systems, tell our service providers to delete it, and remove it from backups within 30 days. Shared results Eden wrote partly from your answers, and your messages in conversations you had with your spouse, stay available to your spouse after you delete your account (Privacy Policy, Section 12). You can ask us by email to delete those too.
- Withdraw consent. Email us or delete your account. Lovebound cannot work without this information, so after you withdraw consent we stop collecting and using it and delete your account data.
How to make a request
Email info@bigdevelop.com from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity. Requests are free, up to twice a year. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend that once by up to 45 more days, and we will tell you why within the first 45 days.
Appeals
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing info@bigdevelop.com with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will answer in writing within 45 days and explain what we did and why. If we deny your appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state Attorney General, for example the Washington Attorney General (atg.wa.gov) or the Nevada Attorney General (ag.nv.gov), to file a complaint.
We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
7. Sale
We do not sell consumer health data, and we will not do so without the signed authorization the law requires.
